97 teachers from Central Visayas graduated today under the Global Filipino Teachers (GFT) program held in Cebu International Convention Center where President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo led the recognition rites.
Pioneered by Globe Telecom and in partnership with Department of Education and the Coalition for Better Education, the program was designed to equip public high school teachers with the right tools to make them globally competitive.
This six-day teacher training program was focused on the proper use of ICT application for school-centered classroom activities.
Globe President & CEO Ernest Cu stressed in his speech the Globe Telecoms commitment to be the leader in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and to provide public school teachers with skills to enhance the learning experience of students in public schools all over the country.
