Advantages/Disadvantages of presenting a powerpoint presentation to an audience?
COMMENT 1
There are many advantages to having a powerpoint. You can include visuals (pictures) that help capture your audience's attention. You can also insert video/audio clips that will serve as an interesting and entertaining way of presenting your information. You can highlight key terms on slides, which might allow your audience to better understand your topic. Additionally, by having key points on the powerpoint, you can refer to them and talk about them in your own words, rather than reading directly from a piece of paper. I don't know if this presentation is for school or not, but teachers generally give students with a powerpoint better grades, as it demonstrates effort and enhances the presentation.
However, powerpoints have a negative side. Some people put huge blocks of information on every slide, which is useless as audiences will not be reading that.

It can also lead to being a distraction from the topic.
If the user puts too much into the slide presentation again this can distract from the teaching point.

Computers can crash so dont fully rely on them.
Bit of advice keep your slides bright, short and to the point
Make your slide transfers as simple as possible dont use fancy transfers or sound effects they just distract and become annoying.
